Featured Photographer: Love Bee Photography

We are so honored to have  Love Bee Photography as our guest judge for this week's entries! Her work is wonderfully stunning, take a peek into her life below and view some of her gorgeous work!

Tell us a little about yourself (family, hobbies, etc.)

I am a mother of 3 hilarious kids and wife to a very supportive husband! We live outside of Toronto, Canada but will soon be moving to the country! I am super excited about this and how it will change my children's lives and also where it will take my photography journey!

What got you started in taking lifestyle images (or photography in general)?

My photography journey began as a child the first time I ever picked up a camera and has evolved over the years. I have always been interested in taking non-scripted candid images and once my own family developed, that same style was passed onto documenting our lives. I love the real and honest feel of lifestyle photography and really try to carry this over to my clients as well.

Any photographers that you look up to?

I admire so many photographers and for so many reasons! It makes it hard to answer this question when asked! Recently I have had the honour of having my own family photographed by Sherri Davis Photography
and also by Alissa Saylor.  Both galleries are very unique, but both show the love of my family in a very raw and special way.

What is in your camera bag?

I shoot with a Canon 6D and multiple lenses, mostly prime. I love my 35mm for inside and 85mm for outdoors. I also use a lot of freelensing and also my Lensbaby Composer for more creative work and to get a different perspective.

If you could capture anybody in the world, anywhere, who and where?

Oh that is a big question!  Right now I am really missing my best friend as she lives in Alaska and myself in Canada. We have been best friends since 4th grade and this is one of the longest stretches we have gone not seeing one another. I would love to travel to Alaska and photograph her family, especially that newborn baby I have not met yet!  Then I would have a chance to hug her and spend time together in a beautiful location! Double bonus!

Wonderful! Please visit and show her some love on her Facebook page, Love Bee Photography, or her website, www.lovebeephotography.com

Featured Photographer: Daisy Baby Photography

We are so lucky to have such amazing guest judges on our page! This week the super talented second admin for My Beautifully Chaotic Lifestyle and owner of Daisy Baby Photography is our guest judge. I'm sure you have seen her being so active on the page, and now you can learn more about her below!!

Tell us a little about yourself (family, hobbies, etc.)

I am a mother of 3 small children who loves to photograph them each and every day. I have an amazing husband who has helped me along my journey as a photographer and a mother. I can't cook, I love to clean and spend WAY to much time at Target and drinking Starbucks.

What got you started in taking lifestyle images (or photography in general)?

My photography journey originally began in high school dark room class but matured after my children were born. My twins were born at 29 weeks and every time I went to visit them in NICU i took about 100 photos..I always thought..this could be our last photos..I want to capture each and every moment. Years later..here I am, still taking photos each and every day and I love it!

Any photographers that you look up to?

I look up to DeAnna McCasland Photography & Heather Robinson Photography. I love how they capture the most amazing photos of everyday life.

What is in your camera bag?

I carry a Nikon D4 & Nikon 610. I primary use my 24mm lens because I love the wide open shots..I feel you get a better story when you see the whole scene. When I am at a photo shoot I stick to my 24-70, 50 & 85..whichever the occasion calls for.

If you could capture anybody in the world, anywhere, who and where?

If I could capture anybody..anytime..I would love to photograph my grandparents. Their early moments as a couple..engagement photos...wedding photos..and family photos. Their photos are all so posed and stiff..I want to capture their life as I see it..in motion.

Wonderful!! These images are all so stunning! To see more of Deanna's beautiful work, visit her Facebook page here, Daisy Baby Photography, or her website here, http://www.daisybabyphoto.com

Featured Photographer: Joni Burtt Photography

We are so honored to have had the stunning Joni Burtt Photography as guest judge for us this week!! Her work is absolutely amazing! Learn more about her below!

Tell us a little about yourself (family, hobbies, etc.)

I am a stay-at-home-mom in rural New Brunswick, Canada, to two adorable kids, Charles (7) and Rosemary (2.5).  When I'm not taking them for tromps in the woods and meandering down the river (with my camera in tow, of course), I work for provincial elections and I have a small photography business.  I have been married to my husband, David, for ten years, and he is my best friend.  I enjoy hiking, running (well, sometimes I don't enjoy that!), cooking, reading, and thrift shopping.  I also enjoy lazing around with a cup of coffee.  And naps.  I love naps.

What got you started in taking lifestyle images (or photography in general)?

We had some extra money from our tax return back in 2010, and I needed a new camera, so I bought a DSLR without knowing a darn thing about it.  The first couple of years were a very steep learning curve for me; I do not normally consider myself a creative person (nobody would ever hire me to decorate, for example!) so I found I had to really stretch myself to improve.  I also found myself drawn to lifestyle photography, especially once my second child arrived in 2012.  It has only been in the past year or so that I've felt more confident in my work - it took me a long time to learn, and I still have so much more to know!  In late winter I started playing with freelensing and fell in love with it, and was invited to be a part of a blog circle of amazing photographers in the late spring, which has been one of the highlights of 2014 for me.

Any photographers that you look up to?

Oh, so many!  Heather Robinson, Erin Konrath, Nicki Bosch, my local fave Kandise Brown, Ana Rosenburg - honestly, I could easily list fifty people here.

What is in your camera bag?

I shoot with a Nikon D600, and my nifty fifty 1.4 is usually on it.  I also get a lot of use out of my 24-70, and I use a busted up old Pentax 100mm lens for freelancing.

If you could capture anybody in the world, anywhere, who and where?

I had to think a long time about this!  My dear Grampie has been gone for a year and a half; I took a few photos of him before he passed, but I'd love to have him back and really capture his day-to-day habits.  And, well, if Dave Matthews knocked on my door and wanted me to follow him around as a tour photographer, I don't think I'd say no. ;)

What wonderful responses!!! You can learn more about Joni at her Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/JoniBurttPhotography or her webpage, http://www.joniburttphotography.weebly.com.
