Feature Photographer: Michelle Cordner Photography

It has been a long past 3 weeks, but finally I am able to catch up. Starting with a feature post of this amazing photographer! Check out more about her below and view some of her stunning images!

Tell us a little about yourself (family, hobbies, etc.)

I am a mum of two gorgeous and completely crazy children named Harrison and Millie and I have been married to my husband Adam for 9 years. I feel very blessed to have a healthy and happy little family and they are my everything!
I go to the gym 3 times a week - begrudgingly! - So that I can eat naughty snacks without feeling too guilty about it! I also write in a diary every few weeks so that I can re-read things over the years as my memory is not the best! I always jot down little things the kids say and do so I can look back and remember that Harrison used to say "Notorbikes" instead of "Motorbikes" and that Millie had to sleep with two dummies years after these things have been forgotten.

What got you started in taking lifestyle images (or photography in general)?

I have always found photos very precious. My Dad passed away when I was only 7 and as my memories of him started to fade over the years the photos that I had became very important to me. I only really started to think about getting into photography myself when I had my children. When my son was born I wanted to document everything! Photography became my visual diary, capturing not only the obligatory first of everything shots but the day to day moments that shaped my life at the time. After that I quickly outgrew my compact camera and the compact DSLR that followed before making the leap to a full DSLR two years ago.

Any photographers that you look up to?

I have so many photographers on here who I follow and who are a constant ispiration to me with their amazing work. One of my favourite photographers is another UK photographer - Tammie Louise Photography. I totaly adore and relate to Tammie's style and the proffesional, approachable way she comes accross in her blogs and updates is also very inspiring.

What is in your camera bag?

My camera bag currently has a Nikon D7000, SB600 flash, 24-70mm 2.8, 35mm 1.8 (Love this for lifestyle shots indoors!) 85mm 1.8 and I still keep my 18-105mm kit in there as a back up.

If you could capture anybody in the world, anywhere, who and where?

If I could capture anybody anwhere I would probably travel back in time to get more lifestyle photos from my childhood. My memories of that time are so faint nowdays, I would love to go back and take photographs of myself and my twin sister Gemma with our parents and grandparents and capture the mischief we made as young children.

So beautiful! You can check out more of Michelle's stunning images one her Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/MichelleCordnerPhotography, or on her website, http://www.michellecordnerphotography.com
